Round Table Sponsors
Many people come to SepCon in order to meet others who
have a passion for a particular topic or aspect of education. In order
to help you with this "networking,"
we are lengthening breaks from 20 to 30 minutes, and
also offering three sessions where you can meet others
with the same interest.
You can even sponsor your own Roundtable if your
favorite topic is not listed. Also, notice some Roundtables
are shown as "available." That means we do not yet
have a leader for that table. YOU might be the person
we are looking for to lead the session (more below).
Roundtables are exactly that: up to 15 people sitting
around a round table discussing a single topic. We
won't be eating during Roundtables, so a little crowding
will be OK.
Two Roundtable sessions are planned for Monday
morning, the final day of SepCon2004:
8:15-9:00am, Volunteer Action:
- ConsideringHomeschooling.org, Denise Kanter

Some of the Roundtables are part of the ongoing
recruiting and training of Alliance volunteers, while
others may lead to either:
- a new volunteer effort within the Alliance, or
- independent action by the
leader or members of the discussion group by
established organizations (e.g., Exodus Mandate) or
by new organizations.
Because of limited seating, it is best to make your
reservations at specific Roundtables either by email
in advance of SepCon, or soon after you register.
Introductions
At the opening session of SepCon, all Roundtable
leaders will have the opportunity to introduce themselves
and describe their topic. This will facilitate your meeting
them at breaks and meals.
New Roundtables
If you wish to sponsor a Roundtable not described above,
please send an email to Alliance for Separation of School and State.
Include your full contact information, the title of your
proposed Roundtable, and a short description of your
qualifications to lead such a discussion on this topic.
Please note there is a $100 Roundtable sponsorship
fee which is fully refundable if your proposal is not
accepted.
Taping
The leader is invited to bring a tape recorder if he/she so
desires to have a record from which to create a summary
of what was said. With advance notice, suitable tape
recorders may be rented from the Alliance for $20, which
includes the tape.
